The Genesis of our Organisation

It is like a saga of an untimely Death of a burgeoning youth has given Birth to a Socio-Culture Organisation in the loving memory of "SANCHITA ROY" who was the only child of her parents who developed Renal problem but succumbed to the kidney operation as the 10th September, 1992.

Sanchita was belonged to a large score of people including her teachers, Classmates & Playmates because of her acumen in different fields viz. Athletics, Painting, Debate, Science-Modelling etc. in addition to her modest behaviour and good academic skill. With her sudden demise people of all ages shocked that they instantly resolved to found an were So organisation "SANCHITA SMRITI SAMAJ BIKASH KENDRA" with a specific motto and objectives as elucidated hereunder just to keep her memory alive among the kids and teenagers of the future generation and that has been rightly flowing through the decades:

Motto/Objectives

a) Physical as well as mental development of rural children of those who do not have much scope and financial stability as our area is largely agriculture dependent and large part of the population IS of: SC/OBC and truly Backward Class: ST, Minority.

b) Women Awareness Programme relating to P/Marital and Post Marital Status as you will appreciate that Rural Women in our Country are victimised in many ways like Dowry-system, Molestation or other type of abuses.

c) To raise a Free Text Book Library for the poor meritorious students.

d) Yoga practise and Indoor games like Badminton, table Tennis, Volleyball, Chess etc.

e) Physical Exercise with modern Gym-instruments,

f) Fine Arts like Dance, Drama, Songs and Drawings,

g) Elementary Science-Cultivation

h) Vocational Training for the Wretched Women & Youth.

i) Regular Blood Donation Camp for the materialisation of the above purpose,

We have already purchased a big piece of Land measuring 43 Decimals raised through the members personal donations of which a large amount is given by Sri Swapan Ray, General Secretary of our Organisation. You will be glad to know that we have so far being able to raise a complex, a podium, good Sanitation facilities for which the cost has already surpassed about 50 lakhs out of which and an amount of Rupees about 24 Lakhs have so far been received from the Government allocation through different wages like:-

1) Rupees 1.10 Lakhs from the MLA local area Development Fund Smt. Sonali Guha

2) Rupees 16 Lakhs from the Youth Service Department, Government of West of Bengal. Rs. 5 Lakhs from Sports & 2 Lakhs from Youth Services Dept.

3) Rupees 70 Thousand from United Bank of India, Regional Office, Behala,4 Members contribution and personal donation of General Secretary.

Our Present Activity

a) Regular Yoga Training by Sri Nitish Ray, (NSNIS) and other competent National Level Teacher.

b) Regular Dance, Drama, Songs, Recitation practise.

c) Drawing/ Painting etc.

d) Spoken English

e) Regular Seminars of Women Awareness Programme, Self-dependence as well as how to addressed their day to day myriad problems,

f) Free Medical Camp, Eye camp in Regular way.

g) Charitable Dispensary

h) Free Coaching & Vocational Training on Tailoring, Doll making, Beautician & Computer and many Others social work as need to the Society.

In fine we would like to bring to like knowledge that, throughout the last 30 years we have been holding 10 Days long All Bengal Cultural Competitions, Yoga Competitions, Seminar on Agriculture, Horticulture , Baby Show, Food & Nutrition Competition, Mother Awareness Programme, Free Medical Check-up & subsequent advise about the Science Modelling, Drawing and many other Educative programmes coming from the 12" January of every year, National Youth Day in connection of Swami Vivekananda's Birthday just commemoration ingest and as well as imbibe his sermons and messages into the Hearts of the Youth of the Modern Society suffering from Socio-cultural malaises and spiritual erosion.

Further to state that apart from the above function we also regularly observe and celebrate Netaji’s Birth Day, Republic Day, Rabindranath Tagore’s Birth Anniversary, Swami Vivekananda’s Birthday, Netaji Subhas Bose’s Birthday, Nazrul Islam’s Birthday, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s Birthday, Mahatma Gandhi’s Birthday etc.

OUR ACHIVEMENT

1. We Organised Yearly All Bengal Sishu Kishor Utsav.

2. Best Organization for South 24 Parganas Certificate from District Magistrate of South 24 Parganas.
